Did Bethany die in the Final Battle?
Quest: The Last Straw (End of Act 3)
Depending on whom Hawke sided with for the final battle, Bethany will appear at the end, assuming she survived the trip from Lothering.
– If Bethany was taken to the Circle at the end of Act 1, she will appear with Orsino, but will turn on him once he resorts to blood magic.
– If Bethany is a Grey Warden, Hawke will run into her on the way to the Gallows and she will offer to join Hawke.
Choices
1. If Hawke is a mage, or if Hawke took Bethany to the Deep Roads, but did not take Anders, Bethany will have not lived to see the war.
2. Hawke can choose to have Bethany the Circle Mage or Bethany the Grey Warden join the party, (or fight alongside the party) thereby ensuring that Bethany survives the final battle.
3. Hawke can opt to allow Meredith to kill Bethany if Hawke sided with the Templars, meaning Bethany does not survive the final battle.
